RAMAIAH UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES UNDER THE AEGIS OF GOVT OF KARNATAKA INAUGURATES ITS TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS INCUBATOR AT RUAS ,PEENYA

The 4 domain areas choses are at the cutting edge of technology ie ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, ROBOTICS, IOT AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEM DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING.

The Centre was inaugurated by Shri Gaurav Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary, Dept of IT, BT and S&T, Govt of Karnataka. Speaking on the occasion Shri Gupta outlined the confluence of 4 factors that make an incubation centre of this nature the need of the hour. One, Karnataka and Bangalore as one of the top hubs globally for IT innovation in the world. Secondly the huge pool of talent available in Karnataka, third Bangalore’s history of producing unicorns due to the culture of innovation and lastly the fact that Karnataka Government has continuously been at the forefront in supporting technology initiatives. “I am sure that the Ramaiah-Gok Tech Business Incubator will reach its milestones successfully and I wish them all the best “he added.

The inauguration function was also attended by Shri Sreenivasa Murty , CEO Gokula Foundation, Dr Sivaguru Sritharan , VC RUAS among other industry and government dignitaries.

May 27 , 2019: Under and MOU signed between Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences and Department of IT , BT Government of Karnataka an Incubation Centre was inaugurated today at the RUAS campus in Peenya . The Incubation Centre is christened as the RAMAIAH_GOK TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS INCUBATOR.

Set up with an objective of providing a platform of support for start-ups in Karnataka. Start-ups with an idea can get their projects incubated all the way from IDEA through to PROTOTYPE to GO TO MARKET. The centre boasts of a 10,000 square feet fully w ifi enabled campus with state of the art facilities. In addition to co-working spaces the Centre provides high end testing equipment for the incubatees to use. The equipment includes 3D printers, 3D scanner, EMI EMC testing equipment and PCB Prototyping machines. This apart the Centre has the support of the Engineering faculty at RUAS. The mentorship provided by the experts in technology would help start-ups speed up their efforts. Industry mentors would also be available to advice the start-ups.
