Way back in 1981, Dr. Jacob Crasta founded CME Equipment & Instruments (India) Pvt. Ltd to manufacture laboratory equipment for R&D and Quality control Laboratory. After Globalization & Liberalization of Indian Economy, the growing demand for Quality/Reliability and Testing of products manufactured across India, had a promising business opportunity.

This potential was realized by Dr. Jacob Crasta, a visionary who started his career in marketing of Scientific Equipment in the laboratory market segment in India. That was the beginning of the remarkable success story that CME is today. What essentially began as a laboratory product manufacturer has grown at a phenomenal pace over the years.
